We’ve got a whole country of ocean lovers who haven’t been able to connect with the beaches they love, and that can leave a bit of a hole. So, we’re doing something about it. We’re connecting your favourite pieces of coastline by mapping them with your beach pics and stories.
Simply share a beach photo with us and tell us why you love it. Tag @sustainablecoastlines and #connectyourcoast or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Then we’ll drop a pin for you on the Connect Your Coast map, and we’re one beach closer to surrounding Aotearoa with stories of ocean love.
So trawl through the camera roll on your phone or those hard drives in the back of the cupboard, scroll back through your Instagram, stalk yourself on Facebook and dig out those shots from your last family trip to the beach, walking the dog, that epic surf trip or that lonely little bay you stumbled across tramping a couple of years ago.
Tell us where on our beautiful islands the shot was taken, and in 25 words or less why that particular piece of coast is so special. Maybe it’s the birdlife. Maybe it’s because it’s the easternmost point of Aotearoa. Maybe it’s the colour of the sand, the quality of the surf or even the dude selling ice creams in the carpark.
We don’t care why you love it. Just that you do.
We’ll drop a pin with your shot and description onto the map and together we’ll be making an awesome map to share and connect to the places we love.
