Where your money goes

$10 plants a native tree alongside Aotearoa’s waterways. We organise weeding and preparation of the planting site and motivate locals to maintain the site.

$20 enables us to remove 60 litres of litter from Aotearoa’s coastlines, protecting our marine life and keeping our beaches beautiful.

$50 provides 16 pairs of heavy duty, bamboo-fibre gloves for keeping our volunteers and staff safe during coastal clean-ups, litter data collection and tree planting.

$100 provides a DIY beach clean-up kit for not-for-profit community groups, schools and family groups, enabling people to take action and protect their local coastline.

$800 enables us to educate an entire class of school kids on the impacts of plastic on our environment and how to reduce waste, followed by a clean-up to connect them with their local beach and the issue at hand.

$1,000 enables us to plant 100 native trees in one of our riparian restoration projects, to help clean up the waterways of Aotearoa and protect our climate and natural biodiversity.

Other ways to donate

The Good Registry

Support Sustainable Coastlines in a way that also means less packaging in the environment, less stress buying a gift, and less clutter in our homes. Simply buy a Good Registry gift card for someone’s next present, or create a gift registry for your own special event and ask friends and family to donate to Sustainable Coastlines instead of buying gifts.

One Percent Collective

One Percent Collective encourages Kiwis to regularly give roughly one percent of their income to awesome causes like ours. For most Kiwis, that’s less than $1.50 per day, but over the last seven years it has added up to nearly 1.5 million dollars raised for charities like us! Sign up to give your one percent here.

1% for the Planet

We are a partner of 1% for the Planet, an alliance of over 1,200 member companies in 48 countries that give one percent of revenues to environmental causes. Their easy online application and web system makes it super easy for anyone to donate one percent of their income to charity. Join now as a business or as an individual.

US donations

From the US of A and want to support Sustainable Coastlines? Because American donors cannot give directly to foreign charities and obtain a tax deduction, US public charity CAF America provides a great service to do so, accepting funds from donors and sending them our way. The support from our generous sponsors and donors is crucial to the ongoing success of our organisation. Without it the achievements we’ve already made would not have been possible. Administrative costs are kept to a minimum so that the maximum percentage of your donation goes towards our projects.

So please dig deep, give generously, and help us to create projects to sustain and protect our coastlines. Your support is much appreciated.
